Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange extract
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, whole milk, orange juice, sugar, orange extract, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours.
  3. Set up your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for 20-30 minutes.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for 4-6 hours, or overnight.
