A cozy and comforting beverage made with vanilla, cinnamon, and warm milk, perfect for rainy afternoons.
Ingredients

- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 cinnamon stick or ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose leaf black tea (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar, honey, or another sweetener
- 1 star anise (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Add the cinnamon stick and vanilla bean to the boiling water (or ground cinnamon and vanilla extract) and reduce the heat; cover.
- Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a cup and add a black tea bag or loose black tea; steep for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, heat ½ cup of milk in another saucepan over low heat.
- Combine the warm milk with the brewed tea in the cup.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.
- For an iced version, let the tea cool and pour it over ice.
