Description

A cozy guide to crafting the ultimate iced coffee with rich flavors and customizable ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. ground coffee (good, rich roast)
  • 8 qt. cold water
  • Half-and-half (healthy splash per serving)
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk per serving
  • Milk options (skim, 2%, whole, almond, or oat milk)
  • Sugar or artificial sweeteners (optional)
  • Syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, or caramel)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Coffee: Mix ground coffee with cold water in a large container. Cover tightly and let brew at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours.
  2. Strain the Coffee: Filter out the coffee grounds using a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth. Pour slowly and let it drain completely.
  3. Chill the Brew: Place the strained coffee in the refrigerator until completely cool.
  4. Assemble Your Iced Coffee: Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in the chilled coffee, add a splash of half-and-half, and mix in sweetened condensed milk as desired.

Notes

Avoid over-brewing to prevent bitterness and ensure proper straining for a smooth finish.
