- 1 cup of apple cider
- ½ cup of water
- 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose black tea
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 star anise (optional)
- A small piece of orange zest
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Combine apple cider and water in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until simmering.
- Add the cinnamon stick, whole cloves, star anise, and orange zest.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add black tea bag or loose tea and steep for 3 minutes.
- Remove tea bag or strain the loose tea, and sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup.
- Strain the tea into mugs, garnishing with additional spices or fruit slices if desired.
- Sip and enjoy your cozy drink!
Notes
This tea can be easily customized with different spices or sweeteners. It’s best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated if made in advance.
