Ingredients

- 1 cup of water
- 1 black tea bag
- ½ cup of fresh orange juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 to 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise (optional)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey (optional)
- Fresh orange slices for garnish (optional)
- An extra cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the Water: Pour 1 cup of fresh water into a small saucepan and bring it to a rolling boil over medium heat.
- Add the Spices: Add the cinnamon stick and whole cloves to the boiling water. If using, add the star anise, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Infuse the Tea: Add the black tea bag and steep for another 3 minutes.
- Incorporate the Orange Juice: Add the ½ cup of orange juice to the brewed tea.
- Strain and Sweeten: Pour the tea through a fine-mesh strainer into a mug. Sweeten with honey to taste.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with a slice of fresh orange and an extra cinnamon stick, if desired, and sip slowly.
